UCR Natural Reserves

As part of the Boyd Deep Canyon Lecture Series, we will hear from Dr. Ken Nussear, who studies the desert tortoise and other at-risk species in the Mojave desert. He will discuss the plight and protection of endangered species, like desert tortoises others that share their habitat, as they face challenges of expanding human impacts, shrinking habitat and a changing climate.
